How KeystoneWorks Sourcing reads a steel-building brief

The desk is an independent sourcing partner. It coordinates questions and places factory replies side by side when they share one written scope. It is not a steel mill, not a construction contractor, and it does not claim authorized dealer status. No founding year, plant count, or client roster is published because those facts are not on file.

A working sequence, not a company history

The marks below are steps a brief can pass through. They are not calendar years and they are not a claim that a factory has been audited.

  1. 01

Capture the reference and the use

The searched name stays a comparison prompt. The occupancy, permanent or temporary use, and any future bay are written in the buyer’s words.

  2. 02

    Screen for missing geometry

If eave height or clear span is absent, the desk asks. It does not substitute a catalog default. Module dimensions are requested only when the option is volumetric.

  3. 03

    Compare replies on one basis

Shell, delivered, installed, and turnkey stay in separate columns. Freight and tax are not folded into a frame price. A standardized unit and a custom engineered system are not ranked as if they were the same drawing.

  4. 04

    Hand the open items back

Code, soil, permits, and contracting stay with the buyer and the licensed professionals they hire. Supplier documents such as AWS D1.1 procedures or an ISO 9001 certificate are checked for the named plant, not adopted by this desk.

Six boundaries the desk keeps visible

Identity

Independent sourcing. Not the brand in the search box, and not an affiliate of that company.

Catalog

Inquiry labels for pre-engineered frames, warehouses, workshops, and hangars. Not a stock list.

Loads

Wind speed, ground snow load, and seismic design category come from the project, not from a slogan.

Scope

Foundation interface, utilities, and installation stay out of the comparison unless the quotation names them.

Standards

IBC, IRC, ASCE 7, and AISC 360 are questions for the quoted system. HUD Code is a different housing path.

Money

No published price reduction. An optional budget is a buyer note in USD or another currency you name.

Start from the six fields, then add the frame type

Say whether you want a hot-rolled rigid frame, a cold-formed secondary package, or both quoted apart. Add the destination and the timing you hope to discuss. The form does not upload drawings. Describe the sheets you can send later.
