Independent alternative sourcing
KeystoneWorks Sourcing is an independent sourcing partner for US project buyers who arrive from a ceco building systems search. The desk is not that company, does not claim authorized dealer status, and is not an affiliate. A useful next step is a comparable request covering use, dimensions, loads, jurisdiction, quantity, and destination.
Compare finished module dimensions against the transport envelope and the crane lift plan.
Compare wall and roof panels by pack size, site assembly sequence, and weather exposure.
Record the folded shipping state and the opened footprint before a price is requested.
Separate the hot-rolled rigid frame from cold-formed purlin and girt packages.
These are checklist actions for a buyer. KeystoneWorks Sourcing does not publish a founding year, a tonnage figure, or a customer count.
Write ceco building systems in the brief as the comparison prompt. Ask factories for a similar pre-engineered steel building. Do not write the request as an order for that brand’s own frame, cladding, or engineering file.
A rigid frame in hot-rolled steel and a purlin or girt in cold-formed steel are different line items. A quotation that blends them hides coating, bay spacing, and the clear span the floor plan actually needs.
Shell, delivered, installed, and turnkey answers cannot sit in one total. Foundation interface, crane lift plan, and utility rough-in move the number even when eave height stays the same.
AISC 360, AWS D1.1, IAS AC472, and ISO 9001 are requests, not badges of this desk. The supplier should tie each file to the plant, the system, and the project jurisdiction. IBC fit is not assumed from a product family name.
The cards follow the two whitelist families on this desk: Pre-Engineered Steel Buildings, and Steel Warehouses, Workshops and Hangars. An empty photo on a later catalog row means no image is on file. It does not mean a building is in stock.
State the clear span, eave height, and bay spacing the occupancy needs before a shell price is compared.
Interior column locations change racking and door placement. Write them into the brief with the design live load.
Ask for insulation as R-value or thermal transmittance, and keep the panel package separate from the primary frame.
Door height, dock approach, and collateral load from sprinklers belong in the warehouse brief.
Note crane runway questions and the design dead load of equipment that hangs from the frame.
Door opening width, tail height, and wind exposure category should be written before hangar quotations are lined up.
Scroll the row. Each card is a use the buyer names, not a completed project of this desk.
Dock doors, aisle clear height, and a ground snow load from the site county.
Bay spacing that fits machines, plus a crane lift plan if a bridge crane is in scope.
Clear span and door leaf type, with wind speed stated in mph.
Open wall questions and corrosion exposure written as a coating request.
Module dimensions if the office is volumetric, kept separate from the steel shell.
Eave height for the tallest machine and a foundation interface the local contractor will build.
Include length, width, eave height, bay spacing, and whether the package stops at the shell. Freight, tax, and erection stay on their own lines. Optional USD budget and a high-end, mid-range, budget, or undecided preference are buyer notes.
